In the grasslands the seasons and temperature can turn into a very cold winter or a very hot summer. In the grasslands its average temperature is 10°C which is also 50°F. In the summer 38°C which is about 100°F and in the winter grasslands can get as low as -40°C which is -40°F. When it rains in the grasslands it can get up to 50.8-88.90 CM of rainfall each year (Caldwell, Collins, and Johnson).
Grasslands Biomes
The Serengeti Grasslands
The Serengeti Grasslands are located in North Tanzania and extends to south Western Kenya.
Serengeti Grasslands Food Web
There are many different organisms in the Serengeti Grasslands some of them are Snakes, Wolfs, Badgers, Sparrows, Hawks, Coyotes, Owls, Mice, Clover, and the Sunflowers
Serengeti Grasslands Ecosystem Disruption:
Grasslands/Serengeti:
A. One of the greatest disturbances in the Serengeti grasslands is the introduction of non-native invasive plants species (weeds), which out-compete the native species and reduce the amount of biodiversity. If the weeds over grow the other plant species they wont be alot of that plants that other animals rely on for food to survive and with out that they will die probably die.
Some of the non-native plant species in the Serengeti Grasslands are The Mexican Poppy,
What are some of the non-native plant species and how were they introduced?
